This is a positive, creative, and exploratory first introduction to independent music learning for preschoolers, ages 4-5, in a group setting. This program prepares for more traditional private lessons as the children explore pitch, patterns, and rhythm through playing desk bells, boomwhackers, and xylophones.

The class aims to further develop basic tonal and rhythmic competence. This looks like matching pitch vocally, copying basic rhythmic patterns, keeping a steady beat, and more! Children at this age are still developing those abilities, so we do activities such as singing and movement to varied meters and tonalities to help support this growth.
